And that’s a wrap on ‘Breeding Season 2024’. Winnipeg Wonder closed out our year with a nice, healthy Colt by Yaupon at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. He joins a West Coast filly that she had last year. Winnipeg Wonder is a half sister to three stakes horses including one that was G3 placed. Her dam Flowerette is a half sister to four millionaires including Travers Stakes winner Flower Alley. Two of her other siblings became stallions in Japan. She will be bred back to American Revolution. Special thanks to the staff McMahon’s for their exceptional care, communication, and hospitality again all breeding season.

Two days ago we had a Mendelssohn filly and said “it’s a filly type of year so far”. Well yesterday one of our long time mares Bitter Gold had……….another filly. She’s a nice looking, healthy Central Banker filly who joins 6-figure winning siblings Mind of Gold and Carly Hustle. Bitter Gold herself is a half-sister to millionaire NY Bred Turf champion Lubash. Thanks to McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC for delivering another healthy foal for us. Bitter Gold will be bred back to Solomini.

Its a filly type of year!! We’ve got ourselves another filly as Heaven’s Humor foaled a nice, big, beautiful Mendelssohn filly last night at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. This is Heaven’s Humor 4th foal – her oldest being sent to Saudi Arabia to race, and also joins an Audible 2yo filly and an Improbable yearling colt. This filly is her first foal that isn’t a chestnut. Heaven’s Humor herself was a winner multiple times and a half-sister to both G3 winner Heaven’s Runway and G2 placed Holy Heavens. She will be bred back to Central Banker.

One of our mares, Andi’s Kitten had a nice Complexity filly April 30 at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. Complexity has his first crop racing this year as two-year-olds and is the stallion of the buzz horse Mensa who was an ultra-impressive debut winner recently at Gulfstream and sold for $740,000 at auction right after. This is Andi’s 3rd foal and includes a 2yo Connect filly and a yearling Cairo Prince filly. Andi’s Kitten is a Kittens Joy mare and a full sister to Breeders Cup Juvenile placed Voting Control. Her 2nd dam Summer Wind Dancer is a G2 Stakes winner and was G1 Stakes placed. She will be bred back to powerhouse New York stallion Solomini, thus satisfying the requirements to make the filly a NY Bred and eligible for the lucrative NY Breeders Awards Program.

And we have a first time Mom….Let’s Celebrate had her first foal last night, a nice Solomini filly at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. Excited to add another Solomini with this deep impressive pedigree. Let’s Celebrate will be placed back in foal to first crop Kentucky stallion Pappacap.

Smokin’ Hot Kitty moved up from the claiming ranks into a Starter Allowance and kept up her winning ways as she scored a 2-length victory in Thursday’s 7th Race at Aqueduct. It was our 3rd win with Smokin’ Hot Kitty and trainer Horacio De Paz and the second in a row with jockey Kendrick Carmouche as the combination also claimed victory back on March 16th. It was also our 10th victory with Kendrick Carmouche aboard as he becomes the second jockey behind Silvestre Gonzalez to reach double digits in wins for APS.
