Foal #5 of 2024 Arrives!!
City Section, one of our 18 broodmares, had a big Solomini colt at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC yesterday. This is City Section’s fourth foal, with her second, Classy City (Empire Maker) finishing 2nd in The Gold Rush Stakes as a two-year-old this winter at Golden Gate. City Section herself was a winner of $100,000 and is a half sibling to multiple stakes horses, with her family posting impressive speed figures throughout their careers. She is scheduled to be bred back to first crop New York sire American Revolution of Rockridge Stud, LLC. New York Thoroughbred Breeders, Inc.
Foal #4 has arrived!! Super Surprise had a nice filly out of first crop NY Stallion Mind Control at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC. Super Surprise is a 3-time stakes winner of nearly $500,000. During her racing days, she was owned by Repole Stable and trainer by Todd Pletcher. Her Liams Map yearling filly just sold for $265,000 in September to Joseph Migliore, agent. She is scheduled to bred back to Gunite.
Foal #3 of the 2024 season was born yesterday at McMahon of Saratoga Thoroughbreds, LLC, a Tapwrit filly out of the Into Mischief mare Bourbon Cowgirl. This is Bourbon Cowgirl’s 3rd foal, joining both a 2yo and yearling by Spun to Run. Bourbon Cowgirl is a full sister to Graded Stakes winner and multiple Graded Stakes placed Center Aisle, a former $1.5 million 2yo purchase. Her dam is out of Graded Stakes winner Skimble and is also a half sister to millionaire, two time Pacific Classic winner Skimming. To meet the requirement of making the Tapwrit foal a NY Bred, Bourbon Cowgirl will be bred back to the New York stallion Central Banker, the longtime leading sire in New York state. Bourbon Cowgirl is owned in partnership with Spruce Lane Farms and others.

Awesome Aurora is out of the G2 placed Believe in AP, who is out of the G1 winning mare I Believe in You. This filly is Awesome Aurora’s 4th foal with her first foal just having solidly debuted as a 3yo, and her 2yo Solomini filly and yearling Connect colt, both being very impressive thus far. She will be bred back to Solomini in New York.
